A painter dedicated to the exploration of disrupted realism. Working primarily with oil on canvas, I employ illustrative painting techniques with painterly marks, layering, scraping back, and reworking my surfaces. This process allows me to find a delicate balance between magical realism and gestural abstraction.

In my work, I create hybrid, fractured structures that merge human and animal parts. My most recent series of Memento Mori portraits pays tribute to the animals I encounter that have been struck down by humans. These portraits are an attempt to honor their existence and bring attention to the often-overlooked consequences of human actions.

My paintings strive to balance the complexity of beauty with the grotesque, the sinister with the benevolent. Through this dichotomy, I seek to interpret and convey life's resiliency, beauty, pain, and fragility. Each piece serves as a reflection on the delicate and often tumultuous relationship between humanity and the natural world.
